Dhoni takes the pledge to save Tigers in Uttarakhand

News Desk: Breaking News! Indian Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni took the pledge to save tigers in Uttarakhand, as he was appointed as the Brand Ambassador for tiger conservation in the state.

It was announced by Uttarakhand CM Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Dhoni was also appointed honorary wildlife warden of Jim Corbett National Park. Bijendra Singh was honorary wildlife warden for the last 30 years before Dhoni’s appointment.

Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, "We believe Mahendra Dhoni's association with Jim Corbett National Park and with tiger conservation will help the campaign in a big way".

Dhoni spoke with the CM regarding the removal of illegal encroachments in Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) - Rajaji National Park Corridor at Ramnagar. Dhoni said "Illegal encroachments will impede wildlife conservation. I urge the Uttarakhand CM to doneedful".

Dhoni also signed memorandum, urging the CM to take necessary steps to ensure safety of tigers and their conservation in Uttarakhand.
